Thankful I don’t have an annoying little sibling (like Opie here)—because I AM the annoying little sibling 😂

Joke aside, I have a lot to be thankful for this year.
I’m thankful for each & every one of you that follow & support my work. It’s been a joy getting to know you guys over the internet (or rather, your pets—let’s be real 😂), and meeting some new faces in person this year.

I’m thankful to my clients for choosing me and entrusting me to create not just photos, but everlasting memories of them and their pets that they can look back upon fondly over the years. I know that there are sooo many options these days for photographers (everyone with a camera, is one!), and that you can choose anyone, but you chose me to work with. Because of that, you’re the reason why I’m still doing what I do, even though my mom still asks me (although less frequently), “I thought you were only going to do this full time for a year—it’s been 3 years now; when are you going to get a “real job”? Whoops!
Speaking of my mom, most importantly, while no one ever imagines or wants to be diagnosed with breast cancer, I am grateful that if she had to have had it, that we found it early, and that it wasn’t an aggressive form. Despite my parents disapproving of my career decision, it’s been a blessing in disguise being able to create my own schedule and take her and my dad to all the different doctor appointments these past few months. Something I know would have been close to impossible if I had been working full time. Thank you to the @umichmedicine for taking care of her and providing a top notch experience (#goblue #umichalum)

I’m thankful for my friends that have supported me during this challenging time—those that have helped me look into medical resources, provided a listening ear to vent as needed, and those that have just been there when I needed them. (Cont’d in comments👇🏽)
