THAT’S THE SPOT!
That's The Spot! is a photographic series that celebrates the emotion that pets feel when their hoomans pet them. Photographed by Prathima of Pawparazzi Pet Photography in Mumbai, India, these portraits capture the raw emotion and connection between the subjects to show the unquestionable bond between they share.
FROM THE ARTIST:
“I was in the middle of doing a studio photoshoot for a black Labrador named Max. We were about to take a break from shooting, when I told Max to relax. I still hadn't take my eyes off from the viewfinder, or my finger off the trigger. His hooman started petting him & I snapped away. Voila! An idea for a beautiful series came to life right then.
I then went on to photograph all my clients dogs in the same manner to make the THERAPAWTIC CALENDAR out of it for 2021! We ended up selling over 120 calendars, and all of the money collected was raised to be donated to animal charities all across India.”
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ever since I was a little girl, I always knew I wanted to work in a field that revolved around animals, be it veterinary sciences, dog-training or wildlife conservation.
My love for photography started developing when I turned 10 & when I was in college, I thought to myself, "WHY NOT COMBINE THE TWO INTERESTS?"
Voila! Here we are today!
My specialty lies in capturing your pets' true personality & the relationship you share with them, giving you memories that you'll cherish fur-ever.
