A MOTHER AND HER PUPPIES
This sweet client session features a mother dog and her five curly, seven week old puppies. Photographed by Lotte van Alderen with winter light at a forest in the Netherlands, the warm glow of the sunset has been beautifully accentuated with van Alderen’s soft post-processing style.

I always enjoy working with puppies, but I love it even more if they are still in the litter with their brothers and sisters.
After the breeder of this particular litter won my December photoshoot giveaway, she asked if it’d be okay to wait a while since her dog was expecting puppies. Of course, I was more than happy to wait!
After a month or two, it was time for our shoot. We choose a beautiful forest location and got lucky with a winter sunset. The puppies were only around seven weeks old at the time, so I ended up compositing the final group photo - attempting to photograph them all at once would have been far too stressful! I love the finished results from this session and I’m over the moon that more and more breeders are booking me for litter photoshoots.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is Lotte van Alderen, the face behind Foscofotography. Absolutely crazy about animals, I started taking my first photos about 10 years ago. I have now graduated in animal care and decided to enjoy my greatest passion full-time; photography.
To date, I have not regretted this decision for a single moment and I thoroughly enjoy my work and everything that comes with it. I love to be able to make people happy and to give them a beautiful lasting memory and experience.
