WHO ARE BPRO?
BPro/Brilliant Prints is a family-run pro print lab based out of Brisbane in Australia. We also print for the local markets from offices in Singapore and Malaysia. We started in our parent's living room in Brisbane in 2004, and now proudly serve over 3000 photographers, artists and commercial clients.
What requirements are there for a photographer to work with you?
We do not necessarily require our photographers to be fully-registered businesses. We understand that people may start their businesses while juggling other work, so can be quite flexible on registration requirements. Generally, we just require some evidence of an intention to operate as a business (e.g. an established social presence is also fine).
Do you offer a consumer arm?
While we have a legacy consumer arm with limited products e.g. canvas prints, we do not push this. We prefer not to receive new consumer referrals, as our retail arm primarily serves clients who have used us previously when we had a stronger retail presence.
Many photographers are selling digitals because they don’t know how to order product or where to start. Do you help photographers with this transition?
We love helping people get themselves organised. We have an extensive resource centre at https://support.bpro.com.au, but can also provide personalised advice over the phone, email or in person. We offer free test prints to help you adjust to the print environment. We aim to run two online education sessions each month on business-related topics.
Which product do you see pet photographers order the most and at what size?
Our most common product we sell to Pet Photographers is our 20x30" box-frame canvas. It is available in any size from 20cm to 270cm! More recently, many pet photographers have also embraced the vibrance and punch of chromaluxe metal prints (also available with a timber-framed option)

Recommended mark up
At minimum we would recommend charging $800+ but have seen some photographers charge well over $1500 depending on their individual business model and client demographics
If you were a photographer selling this product in a set package, what would you sell it with?
For pet photographers who aim to provide multiple images, or create a series of images to tell a story, box-frame canvas pairs beautifully with our Espresso album range of timber folio box sets.
Do you offer a discount on samples, if so, what is the discount?
40% up to a maximum of $1000 samples per year.
Are any other samples required in order to get started with your lab and if so, what is the cost of these?
We offer free test prints for colour matching, and can provide very affordable frame corners and sample swatches.
